Effective 沙巴体育 Engagement Guest Lecture - 3/2023

The department of Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing organized an effective alumni engagement guest lecture (series 3/2023) on March 9, 2023, from 3.00 to 4.00 pm at 沙巴体育 College of Nursing (MCON), 沙巴体育 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), 沙巴体育 for the undergraduate and postgraduate students. This session was organized as one of the many activities planned and conducted to celebrate 沙巴体育 Women’s Day (IWD) 2023. The session was deliberated by Mrs. Ameeka Shereen Lobo (MSc Alumna 2014-16 Batch), who is presently working as a 沙巴体育 Fellow at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control, New Delhi. The topic– ‘Digital safety for women empowerment’ was based on the IWD 2023 theme. The beneficiaries were a total of 65 undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students and six faculty members of MCON, MAHE, 沙巴体育. She stressed the importance of one being aware of the various digital safety methods and applying whichever is feasible, in order to help empower oneself in the digital-savvy world. She also discussed, how a nurse can help the general public to not only be aware but also be prepared to indulge in digital safety activities to protect themselves from exploitation and thus be self-empowered. The students participated very actively in the session.
