Seminar on Career Development and Progression in Nursing

A seminar on Career Development and Progression in Nursing was organized by 沙巴体育 College of Nursing 沙巴体育 in association with Centre for Consultancy Training and Corporate Interface, Department of Commerce (DOC), MAHE, 沙巴体育 on 24th August 2020 between 9 am to 12.30 pm for final year BSc Nursing students. Dr.Everil Jacklin Fernandes, Assistant Professor, DOC elaborated on components of a resume and use of Coggle form for CV building. The second session was on ‘How to handle interview’ by Dr.Vikram Baliga, Associate Professor, DOC, MAHE, 沙巴体育. He stressed on different questions raised by the interviewer and the preparation needed by the interviewee. Dr Priyanka Pandey, Assistant Professor, DOC, MAHE spoke on corporate etiquettes, which included ways of maintaining the decorum at the workplace. Opportunities in the health economics sector were dealt by Dr. Ambigai Rajendran, Associate Professor, DOC, MAHE. She explained about career opportunities for nurses in the private sector, industry, government and NGO. A total of 88 students participated in the seminar.
